Online reputation management for Google search and AI
Confidential online reputation management for individuals, public figures, founders and businesses.
I help correct inaccurate coverage, address damaging Google search results and improve the sources AI tools use when answering questions about you.
What people find when they search your name
People search before they contact you, employ you, invest in your business or decide whether they trust what you say.
Sometimes they find an old article, a false claim, an outdated legal story or one difficult period that has been allowed to define everything else.
AI has added another layer. Tools such as ChatGPT, Google AI and Perplexity build answers using information found across articles, websites, profiles and search results. If those sources are wrong or missing context, the AI answer can be too.
Google and AI are connected, but they are not the same. Google decides which pages appear prominently in search results. AI tools use available sources to build an answer. Effective online reputation management needs to consider both.
Online reputation management services
-
I review what appears when somebody searches your name or business across Google, news results, images, websites, social profiles, forums and AI tools.
I identify inaccurate or outdated information, recurring claims, missing context and the sources having the greatest influence. You then receive a clear view of what matters, what can change and what should be prioritised.
-
If an article contains a factual error, leaves out an important legal outcome or continues to present an outdated version of events, I can approach the publication with evidence and request a correction or update.
This can include making sure acquittals, dismissals, resolved cases and other significant developments are properly reflected in existing coverage.
-
Some online content can be removed from the original website. In other cases, a link may qualify for removal from searches of your name.
These are different processes. Removing a Google result does not necessarily remove the original webpage from the internet.
I assess the available editorial, platform, privacy and legal routes, then explain what is realistic before any work begins.
-
When a damaging result cannot be removed, the alternative may be to build stronger and more accurate material that can compete with it.
This can include improving your website, strengthening existing profiles, creating useful content, securing relevant press coverage and using SEO to help current information rank more prominently.
This is sometimes described as search result suppression. It takes time, but it can change the overall picture people find when they search your name.
-
You cannot directly log in and edit what an AI tool says about you.
AI reputation management begins by checking how different tools describe you, identifying the sources influencing those answers and correcting inaccurate source material where possible.
I then work on strengthening the accurate information available to those systems. The aim is to give AI tools a clearer and better-supported public record to find as their answers and models update.
-
Some clients need help with one article or search result. Others need longer-term personal reputation management across press coverage, Google results, their own online presence and AI answers.
Ongoing support can include monitoring, correction requests, content development, SEO, media relations and responding when something new appears. This can be arranged month to month and adjusted as your priorities change.
-
The first call is free. You can show me the articles, search results, screenshots or AI answers that concern you and explain what feels inaccurate, outdated or unfairly prominent.
I will review what is appearing and prepare a proposal setting out what I recommend, what should happen first and what is likely to take more time.
Some situations need one defined piece of work. Others require a longer search and content strategy. Much of this work relies on decisions made by publishers, platforms and search engines, so I will always be clear about what I can control and what depends on a third party.
Why work with me?
My background combines crisis PR, media relations, SEO and online reputation management. I look at the full picture rather than treating press coverage, Google results and AI answers as separate problems.
I have worked with public figures, founders, politicians, creators, businesses and international brands. I am also a regular crisis PR commentator for BBC News, Sky News, ITV and Channel 4, and have contributed to outlets including The Sunday Times and The New York Times.
I am particularly interested in why one page ranks, why an old article keeps resurfacing and where an AI tool found a particular claim. Understanding that chain is often the key to changing what people see.
You work directly with me throughout. The work is confidential, and an NDA can be signed before we discuss anything sensitive.
Tell me what you are finding
You do not need to diagnose the problem before contacting me.
Send me the links, screenshots, Google results or AI answers that concern you. I will look at what is happening and explain the realistic options.
