A second opinion, before you act

One confidential hour with Lauren, with research beforehand and a written summary after.

You don't always need a full PR plan. Sometimes you just need someone experienced to look at what's in front of you before you send it, publish it, or make a decision that's difficult to walk back.

These are confidential one-to-one sessions for individuals, founders and small teams who want practical, level-headed advice without taking on ongoing PR support.

They're for the moments when something matters and you'd rather not guess. When you want to check that you're seeing it clearly, that you're not responding while you're still upset, and that the way you handle it won't turn something small into something bigger.

Most people book before publishing something, before replying to criticism, while dealing with a sensitive issue internally, or simply because something doesn't feel right and they'd like a second opinion on why.

Need more than a second opinion?

Sometimes one hour is enough. Sometimes you need someone to stay involved and help you deal with the situation as it develops.

I also provide full crisis PR and reputation management. That can include handling journalists, preparing statements, working alongside lawyers, managing online backlash, correcting inaccurate coverage and improving what people find about you across Google and AI tools.

If you need ongoing support rather than a single advisory session, you can see exactly what that includes here.

What you get

Before the call

Once we've agreed a time and settled the invoice, I'll ask you to send over anything that helps: links, screenshots, draft wording, and the background as you'd explain it to a friend.

From there I do the groundwork before we speak, so you're not starting from scratch on the call. Depending on the situation that usually means looking at your online presence, recent coverage, social media, LinkedIn, search results and any draft messaging you've already got.

It means that by the time we talk, I've already got the context. You can start wherever you like rather than spending the first twenty minutes bringing me up to speed, which is why an hour goes a lot further than it sounds.

The call: one hour on Zoom

We use the hour however is most useful to you. That might be going through messaging line by line, pressure-testing a decision, thinking through how something's likely to land, or just calmly working out what to do next and what to leave alone.

I'll give you my honest read on where the risk sits, where the tone or wording might land badly, and what I'd do in your position. The decisions stay yours, and everything I give you is something you can act on straight away.

After the call: a written follow-up

You won't need to take notes. A few days later you'll get a written summary from me covering the main risks, what I'd suggest doing next, and what I'd steer clear of.

People tell me that document is the bit they keep coming back to. It's something you can act on, share with a lawyer or a co-founder, or dig out again in three months if things resurface.

How to book

Fill in the form with a short description of your situation and I'll be in touch to arrange a time. Sessions are £500, which covers the research beforehand, the hour itself, and the written summary afterwards.

Sending this doesn't commit you to anything. We'll agree a time first and I'll confirm everything before the session is booked. Whatever you write comes straight to me and stays confidential.
